Day 1: Arrival in Lima

Upon your arrival at the airport, our Peruvian Cultures team staff will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it to give you a warm welcome to our country, to later transfer you to your hotel in Lima.

You will have the afternoon a free afternoon to explore. We recommend a walk through the picturesque Parque del Amor, which has impressive views of the Lima coast. Another similar option is Kennedy Park, very close to the Chabuca Granda Theater.

Day 2: Lima – Ballestas Islands Tour – Nazca

Breakfast. Departure to the city of Paracas. Bus with comfortable seats and snacks on board. Transfer to the pier for the half-day tour to the Ballestas Islands and chandelier sanctuary for marine life this visit is done in a slider, during the journey you will observe the bay of Paracas, the port of San Martín, and also appreciate the CANDELABRO, it is a gigantic figure located in the northern part of Paracas and is 128 meters long by 74 meters wide. It resembles the Nazca figures, which can only be seen from the sea. In the Ballestas Islands, you will appreciate great marine fauna, such as sea lions, guano birds, Humboldt penguins, etc. And it is capricious rock formations that constitute one of the most beautiful landscapes on the Peruvian coast. Finished the excursion. continue the trip by bus to the city of NAZCA Accommodation in the city of Nazca.

Day 3: Nazca Lines Tour   – Return to Lima

Breakfast. Transfer to the Nazca Maria Reich aerodrome to fly over the Enigmatic Nazca Lines 12 Figures. Nazca Lines, these enigmatic lines or figures are located 145 kilometers south of the city of ICA. The NAZCA pampas of approximately 500 square kilometers where the mysterious lines are found represent figures of various animals such as the spider, the monkey, the dog, the lizard, the hummingbird, and the condor. Their dimensions vary between 15 to 300 meters each. Discovered in 1927 by scholar Maria Reich.

After Nazca Lines Tour you will be taken back to your hotel in Lima. After re-checking your hotel in Lima, you will have the night free to enjoy Lima’s nightlife and look for other options to enjoy.

Day 4:  Arrival in Arequipa- Arequipa City Tour

After your breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to Jorge Chavez Airport for our morning flight to Arequipa, often called the “White City” due to its many buildings built with ashlar. Upon arrival, one of our representatives from Peruvian Culture tours.

He will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in Arequipa to get settled. Later, our guide from Culturas Peruanas Tours will pick you up from your hotel to start the tour of the White City of Arequipa. The tour includes places like him, Santa Catalina Monastery, Arequipa Cathedral, Cloisters, and Church of the Society of Jesus, Yanahuara passing through one of the most attractive viewpoints of the city called “Carmen Alto” in this place we will observe the three guardian volcanoes Surrounding the city of Arequipa, pre-Inca platforms and our guide will tell you about the agriculture of Arequipa, its culture and tradition.

Day 5: Arequipa to Chivay – Overnight in Chivay

After a pleasant breakfast at your hotel, we will depart for the Colca Valley located in the province of Caylloma at more than 3,500 meters above sea level. passing through the National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Salinas with the presence of the largest high Andean fauna and flora. During the journey we will appreciate groups of vicuñas, alpacas, and llamas; Continuing the trip we will pass through the Tojra Wetlands always with a good variety of Andean birds, and as we continue, we will pass near the Chucura crater entering the Patapampa route, a plain near 4,800 meters above sea level where we find the Mirador de Los Andes nearby mountain ranges and volcanoes such as the Misti, Chachani, Ampato, Sabancaya, and Hualca.

Continuing with our trip we will arrive at Chivay and will be transferred to the lodging in Chivay. Where you can settle and rest. In the afternoon we will visit the thermal bath “La Calera”, a thermal water source located 3 km from Chivay that has facilities to take a relaxing bath. (Wear a bathing suit). Does not include the entrance fee. The Ethnological Museum is located here, in which the daily life of the inhabitants of the Colca Valley is shown, as well as samples of handicrafts, and typical costumes, among others. We will return for the night at our hotel.

Day 6: Colca Canyon Tour – Arrival in Puno

Early excursion to the famous Mirador Cruz del Cóndor, one of the best viewpoints over the Colca Canyon and home to the giant Andean condors that are Inca Spirits. The road passes through picturesque villages and pre-Inca ruins dominated by the Ampato and Hualca glaciers, both visible in the distance. After lunch in Chivay, we will start our trip to Puno, between 5 and 6 hours from the Colca Canyon by car with spectacular views along the way. Puno is higher than Arequipa. Puno and its charms await us!  Our accommodation will be in a hotel near Lake Titicaca.

Day 7: Lake Titicaca Tour Full day

Our tour guide will pick you up after your breakfast as this full-day experience will last around 9 hours. Your tour of Lake Titicaca will take you to two of the most fascinating islands on the lake. First, the floating islands of the Uros are made up of small islands built with many layers of reeds. During your visit to the islands, you will have the opportunity to learn about the local customs, explore the Totora houses, and ride the Totora boats.

This exciting tour continues to the island of Taquile, located (2 hours by boat), where we will arrive at approximately noon. During the boat trip, you will be able to enjoy impressive views of Lake Titicaca and the surrounding peninsulas. You will visit the most important sites of the island and embark on a rigorous walk to an amazing viewpoint. You will then have time to enjoy a local lunch (not included), before your return by boat to Puno. You will return to Puno in the afternoon and have time to relax at your hotel in your Free time.

Day 8: Arrival in Cusco by bus

After breakfast at your hotel in Puno, you will be transferred to the bus terminal for your trip to Cusco. The tour lasts between 9 and 10 hours and you will travel in a comfortable tourist bus that includes a stop for lunch, as well as guided visits to various ruins and tourist sites along the way.

You will arrive in Cusco in the afternoon and a representative of Peruvian Culture Tours will pick you up at the bus station and take you to your hotel in Cusco to check in. You will have the rest of the time to rest at your hotel or enjoy the nightlife of Cuzco.

Day 9: Sacred Valley

In the morning our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel to start the tour of the Sacred Valley where we will begin an unforgettable journey. We will start first at the archaeological site of Pisac, where we will explore the Inca city and walk through the extensive Inca passes with impressive views over the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our second stop will be at the Pisac Market to admire Peruvian artisans, paintings, and works by Peruvian artists, take pictures or buy Inca Peruvian souvenirs from the locals. Then we will stop in the Urubamba part of the Sacred Valley to enjoy Peruvian organic food, the typical Andean lunch of the Zone, and we will taste the Inca beer, the Chicha of the Sacred Valley, and then learn how to prepare it.

After Peruvian organic lunch. We will go to visit the archaeological site Ollantaytambo where you will receive an explanation from your tour guide of the Sacred Valley, then we will go to the train station to take the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo de Aguas Calientes. Where our staff will be waiting for you and will accompany you to your Hotel in Machu Picchu town. We have dinner in the town of Machu Picchu, our professional tourist guide will provide you with recommendations for the visit to Machu Picchu Citadel.

Day 10: Machu Picchu Tour

Today will be a special day because you will visit one of the 7 wonders of the Machupicchu world. The Sacred City of the Incas. Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to take the bus to Machu Picchu once arrive, we will have a guided tour of approximately 2 hours during which we will explore all the Sacred places of the Incas of this impressive lost city of Machu Picchu, such as the Temple of the Sun, Royal Tomb, Inca Inti Watana (Sun Clock Rock), main square, sacred rock, Temple of the 3 Windows, the artisan sector, Temple of the Condor of Machu Picchu and many others.

After the guided visit to Machu Picchu, you will have free time to take photos and postcards of Machu Picchu Peru. It should be noted that there are beautiful animals called Llamas (Lama Glama) that you can meet. To finish the activity, you will go down by bus to Aguas Calientes where you will have time to have lunch and rest. Remember that you have to be at the train station 30 minutes before. At the end of the afternoon, you will take a comfortable train back to Ollantaytambo and then you will be transferred to your hotel in Urubamba to spend the night and rest.

Day 11: Maras Moray and City Tour Cusco

On the eleventh day after a delicious breakfast at the hotel in Urubamba. We start our guided visit to the ruins of the Moray circle, the ancient Inca agricultural laboratory.

After visiting Moray, we head to the resplendent Inca Salt Mines (Salineras) of Maras, where a natural spring fills approximately 4,000 Salinas to collect salt in Peru. The new stop will be in Chinchero where we will experience the weaving demonstration process. Almost finished our tour we will have our lunch and then return to Cusco and continue our tour in the city of Cusco. Upon arrival, your hotel will have ample time to drop off your bags and settle into your hotel. 14:30 Our meeting at your hotel to carry out the City Tour through the archaeological centers that are around the city of Cusco such as Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay. They had astronomical functions and temples to their gods. Our tour lasts approximately 2 hours and then we will have time to get off and relax at the Hotel.

Day 12: Arrival in Puerto Maldonado

After your breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for our morning flight to Puerto Maldonado Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, the Biodiversity Capital of Peru, our representative will receive you at the airport.

Then we will go to Puerto Capitanía, where our boat will wait for you, in which we will sail along the Bajo Madre de Dios River (Serpenteante River) until we reach our lodge, located thirty kilometers from the city of Puerto Maldonado. On the way, you can see rural properties for agricultural and livestock activities near the city. If the weather is right, you will see colorful plants such as giant flower heliconias, and the possibility of observing animals, such as ronsocos, alligators, water turtles, herons, cormorants, carrion, and prey birds. our hostel, you will be greeted with delicious nectar of Amazonian tropical fruits and taken to your comfortable room (bungalow), reserved for the occasion. Once installed, a succulent lunch will wait for you in our cozy rustic dining room.

In the afternoon, you will be led by our specialized guide through an interpretive trail conveniently signposted towards the Cayman Cocha, a small lagoon where you will have the possibility to observe the black alligator and white alligator, efficient predators located on the cusp of the food chain, that live on the abundant water fauna of the Cocha, represented by fish species.  At the end of the afternoon, you will witness the spectacular sunset in the Amazon, an experience full of color in

breathtaking ranges and intensities. Upon returning to the lodge, a delicious dinner will be waiting for you and you will have free time to share unforgettable moments in our bar, equipped with an excellent board games room and equipped with all the drinks you can imagine. The nocturnal fauna will be responsible for pulling it with the melody of an infinity of songs and voices of various birds.

Day 13: Amazon Tour

The magic begins with birds singing from the Amazon paradise, waking up to the howler monkey calls. A hearty breakfast will provide you with the necessary energy for a morning full of new experiences.

LOST COCHA

After breakfast, we will start an adventure in the virgin forest, accompanied by a local guide, we’ll go on a hike in the deep forest: we will cover very well-preserved prepared trails of our interpretive tour. On our way, we will cross temporary water courses called tributaries through very well-kept bridges, and we’ll witness the most comprehensive range of flora and fauna in the wild. We’ll identify a great variety of ornamental plants with unparalleled beauty.

On the route to the Lost Cocha, we will see diverse species of medicinal plants and fruit trees that support the animal populations in the Amazon Forest.

With luck, you’ll get to see bigger mammals, like the jaguar or Peruvian jaguar, the Brazilian tapir, and the white-lipped peccary; rodents like the giant otter, the capybara, the spotted paca, and the armadillo; primates like the Coto or howler monkey and the squirrel monkey; reptiles like the iguana and the Bothrops atrox; amphibians like the toad, and birds like the guan, the partridge, the golden parakeet, and the scarlet macaw.

The rivers leave behind wetland systems, lakes, ponds, and bends, like the spectacular Lost Cocha.

Wetlands play an ecological role of great importance since they represent a substantial biological source of endemic species. The presence of moriche palm is very important for Amazonian ethnic groups. It is a mystery plant considered the mother of the forest or the tree of life.

The swamp is home to jealous guardians like the jaguar, the feline considered the son of the swamp; the anaconda, the world’s biggest snake; the owl that sees everything from its dwelling at the top of the trees, to cure all ills, and the black caiman, a guardian that punishes those that dare to steal the female moriche palm fruit. Once in Lost Cocha, we will go up to an enormous observation platform. From this lookout, you will see the enormous surface that this magic place covers and where you can see two types of swamps: thick and mixed.

Then, we will take a pleasant walk around the Lost Cocha and with luck, you’ll get to see the “giant otter” or Pteronurabrasiliensis, the biggest in its type and one of the most impressive animals in the Amazon region.

Back in the lodge, you can enjoy an exquisite lunch.

In the afternoon, you have free time to take pictures around the lodge, and you will have the possibility to visit the botanical garden and observe our medicinal plants and fruit trees.

At night, you can enjoy a delicious dinner. If you are not tired, you can enjoy a fun night at the bar and game room.

MONKEY ISLAND

In the afternoon, joined by our specialized guide, we will visit Monkey Island, a few minutes away from the lodge in the center of the Madre de Dios River. This island shows an enormous variety of exuberant flora and hosts numerous primate specimens like the black spider monkey, the black-cap capuchin monkey, the squirrel monkey, and the lion monkey. Also, other species of little mammals like the ring-tailed coati (Nasua nasua), the squirrel, and an enormous variety of colored birds.

Finally, we will complete our visit to the island, enjoying a sunset with the most impressive dusk in the jungle.

Back in the lodge, you will taste an exquisite dinner.

Day 14: Departure from Puerto Maldonado

After a refreshing night’s sleep, the loud vocalizations produced by the supersized voice box of the howler monkey will greet you good morning. In our dining room, a hearty breakfast will wait for you. In our dining room, a delicious breakfast will await you before going back to Puerto Maldonado.
