Day 1: Arrival in Cusco Airport Pick Up and City Tour in the afternoon starting at noon.
Upon arrival at the airport, our Peruvian culture tours staff will be waiting to give you a warm welcome to Cusco and then will transfer you to your hotel in the historic center of Cusco.
In the afternoon, your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to take you to some of the best archaeological sites. The Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun Koricancha, and archaeological sites around Cusco such as Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay. After the excursion, we will return to our hotel in the city and enjoy dinner and rest.
Day 2: Sacred Valley tour of the Incas -Train to Machu Picchu town.
We will start with the pick up from the hotel around 7:00 am with our official tour guide and transportation. Then we will visit the archaeological center of Chinchero to learn about the history and culture.
Continuing with the tour, we will visit the archaeological center of Moray, an ancient Inca laboratory. Then we will descend to the salt mines of Maras, which is located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where salt is cultivated, and at noon we will enjoy a buffet lunch of Peruvian cuisine. To finish our tour, we will visit the archaeological center of Ollantaytambo, last bastion of the Incan, and then we will go to the train station. Then we go with the train to Machupicchu town to overnight.
Day 3: Machu Picchu and return to Cusco: Overnight in Cusco
We will start with the pick-up from your hotel, check-in at the bus station, and travel 35 minutes by bus to the citadel of Machu Picchu. After entering the sanctuary of Machu Picchu, we will start the 2-hour guided tour in the citadel of Machu Picchu, in which we will observe the Inca architecture. Our official guide will explain in detail about the Inca history and culture. Come back from Machu Picchu and enjoy lunch at one of Machu Picchu’s fine restaurants. Be sure to arrive at the train station 30 minutes early. To board the return train, our staff will meet you at Ollantaytambo station and take you to your hotel in Cusco.
Day 4: Humantay Lake full day
The excursion to Humantay Lake is a destination that offers breathtaking scenery and a unique experience in the Andes. To enjoy it we start at 4 am with pick up from your hotel then 3 hours in tourist transport until the starting point of the hike.
Then we will have our breakfast, then we will continue with the transport for 45 minutes.to the point of our walk we will have to walk at our own pace without hurrying until we reach Humantay Lake 4,200 meters above sea level.
The Humantay lagoon is famous for its turquoise waters, which contrast beautifully with the Humantay mountain covered with glaciers. In addition, during the tour, you will have the opportunity to be in front of the majestic Salkantay mountain range, famous for being one of the walks that connects to Machu Picchu Inca ruins.
After an incredible excursion, we will begin the descent until we reach the restaurant to enjoy the delicious lunch and then return to the city of Cusco, arriving approximately at 5 pm.
Day 5: Full-day tour to Rainbow Mountain.
The Rainbow Mountain offers a wonderful spectacle of colorful minerals For this pick up from your Hotel in Cusco between 4:00 am to 4:15 am 3 hours in private tourist transport to Cusipata Enjoy breakfast once we arrive at the district of Cusipata, then continue our journey by car to Phullapatawasi where is our start of the trail to the Rainbow Mountain.
On the way, we will see alpacas and llamas that are part of the daily life of the high Andean communities. Our experienced guide will give us the details of each place where we will pass.
Here we will be able to observe the impressive landscape of the Rainbow Mountain of Cusco, which is a natural mineral formation, and view of the Red Valley, gorges and the south side of the Cordillera of Ausangate, after a total hike of approximately 2 to 3 hours and having received the information from your guide. You will have enough time to explore the Andes, take pictures, and immerse yourself in the environment. The hike will last from 1 to 2 hours… until lunch point.
Our transportation will be waiting for us on the way back. The 3-hour trip back to the city of Cusco. The approximate time of arrival is between 16 and 17 hours.
Day 6: Transfer from your Hotel in Cusco to Cusco Airport
Breakfast at your hotel and transfer to Cusco airport and departure to Lima for connections with international flights.
