Day 1: Arrival in Cusco & City Tour

Upon your arrival at the airport, our Peruvian Culture Tours team will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in the historic center of Cusco. After settling in, enjoy a light lunch featuring a warm soup or cream, perfect for helping you adjust to the altitude.

Later in the afternoon, we’ll begin an exciting city tour with private transportation. First, we’ll visit Koricancha, or the Temple of the Sun, once the most important religious site in the Inca Empire. Then, we’ll head to the impressive Sacsayhuaman, famous for its massive stone architecture and breathtaking views of Cusco.

Afterward, we’ll continue to Qenqo, a mysterious site believed to have been used for ceremonial purposes. Finally, after exploring these incredible sites, we’ll return to your hotel so you can relax and prepare for the adventures ahead.

Day 2: Explore Sacred Valley Tour

After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will meet you around 8:00 AM to begin your Sacred Valley adventure. Visit Chinchero to discover traditional Andean weaving, explore the fascinating Inca agricultural terraces of Moray, and admire the ancient salt ponds of Maras. Continue to Urubamba for a delicious traditional Peruvian lunch before exploring Ollantaytambo, a remarkable living Inca town rich in history and architecture.

Later, head to Ollantaytambo train station to board your tourist train to Aguas Calientes, enjoying breathtaking mountain and river views along the scenic journey. Upon arrival, we head to your hotel, enjoy dinner in town, and relax overnight in preparation for the next day’s unforgettable exploration of Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas.

Day 3: Explore Machu Picchu with Circuit 2 — back to Cusco

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your hotel in Aguas Calientes, our official tour guide will accompany you to the bus station for a scenic 35-minute ride to Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Upon arrival, you will present your original passport and entrance ticket before beginning your approximately two-hour guided tour of the ancient Inca citadel. Discover its fascinating history, sacred temples, remarkable architecture, and breathtaking viewpoints while capturing unforgettable photographs.

After the guided tour, you will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time to enjoy lunch at one of the town’s recommended restaurants, such as Chullos Restaurant, Mistura Machu Picchu, Ponchos Peruvian Kitchen, or Indio Feliz.

Later, board your tourist train for a scenic journey of approximately two hours to Ollantaytambo. We recommend arriving at the train station at least 35 minutes before departure. Upon arrival, our private driver will be waiting for you with a sign displaying your name for your comfortable two-hour transfer back to Cusco.

Day 4: Hike to Rainbow Mountain full-day tour.

Rainbow Mountain at 5050 meters. After enjoying your breakfast at your hotel, at 6:00 am, we will take our private transport to the Rainbow Mountain for approximately 3 hours. On the way, we will see some local communities from the car, and the local farmers.

Activities: First, explore the walk-up to Rainbow Mountain.Along the way, we will see alpacas and llamas, which are an integral part of the daily life of the high Andean communities.Moreover, our experienced tour guide will provide us with detailed information about each place we pass through. In addition, we will have the opportunity to learn about the impressive Rainbow Mountain, which, in fact, is formed by natural mineral formations.

Lunch in Cusipata Town: We will have a buffet lunch to enjoy Peruvian cuisine.Then, we come back to Cusco City.

Day 5:Cusco airport-Puerto Maldonado- Lodge — Caiman Cocha Tour.

We will take you to the airport in Cusco for a flight to Puerto Maldonado. At the airport in Puerto Maldonado, our team from Eco Amazonia Lodge will be waiting for you at the airport upon your arrival in Puerto Maldonado, Peru’s Capital City of Biodiversity. Then, we’ll start our program with a visit around the city on a bus.

Afterward, we will go to Puerto Capitanía, to board a motorized riverboat, and we’ll navigate on the Madre de Dios River. During the journey, we will submerge into a fascinating natural environment, if we are lucky we will witness Ronsocos, Caimans, Turtles, Herons, Cormorants and other animal species in their natural environment.

Arriving at Ecoamazonia Lodge, we will enjoy an exquisite welcome drink, we’ll get settled in our bungalows and will have lunch together.

Once satisfied, you will be conducted by our specialized tour guide through an interpretive trail conveniently signposted to the Caiman Cocha, a small lake with an abundant presence of specimens of Black Caiman (Melanosuchus Niger) and Caiman (Caiman Crocodilus).

At the end of the evening, you will witness the spectacular sunset in the Amazon, an experience full of intensities overwhelming color ranges.

Upon returning to the Lodge, a delicious dinner will await you, and enjoy free time to share unforgettable moments at the bar, equipped with an excellent game room and all the drinks you can imagine.

Day6: Lost Lake – Monkey Island

The morning begins with the sound of beautiful birdsongs from the Amazon Paradise. A hearty breakfast will provide the energy for a morning full of new experiences.

After breakfast, we will start an adventure in the virgin rainforest. Accompanied by a local guide, we ll go on a hike in the deep jungle, to get to the Lost Cocha which constitutes a refuge and feeding ecosystem for a huge variety of animals. There, we´ll have the chance to observe Otters, Caimans, Turtles, Sachavacas (Tapirs) Birds with multicolored feathers, the majestic Jaguar and a variety of fish species. This area is unique and proper to the Ecoamazonia´s Ecological Reserve which maintains it intact, with huge swamps and diverse “aguajales”.

First, we’ll get to the extraordinary Observation Deck, from which we’ll be able to appreciate the immense and magical rainforest. Then, afterwards, we’ll enjoy a pleasant canoe ride around the lake before returning to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, accompanied by our specialized guide, we will visit Monkey Island, a unique place located in the heart of the Madre de Dios River, just five minutes away from the Lodge. During the hike, we will observe extraordinary landscapes with exuberant flora, sheltering a variety of monkey species in their natural habitat, such as Maquisapas, Capuchins, Small Lion Monkeys, Frailes, Cotos, and other animal species like

the Coati and Sloths, along with a great variety of birds. Finally, we’ll complete our visit to Monkey Island by enjoying the sunset, offering the most impressive dusk in the jungle. Afterwards, back at the lodge, we’ll conclude the day with a pleasant dinner.

After a restful night’s sleep, the morning begins with the sound of beautiful birdsongs from the Amazon Paradise.Subsequently, in our dining room, a farewell breakfast awaits before we embark on the return to Puerto Maldonado.
