Day 1: Arrival in Lima – Overnight
Welcome to Lima, the vibrant gateway to Peru. Upon arrival at the airport, a representative from Peruvian Culture Tours will greet you and provide a comfortable transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing you to relax and recover from your journey before beginning your Peruvian adventure.
Extend your journey with additional days and discover even more of Peru’s incredible highlights. Explore the historic center and museums of Lima, visit the wildlife-rich coast of Paracas, experience the spectacular Huacachina Oasis in Ica, or marvel at the mysterious Nazca Lines.

Day 2: Flight to Puerto Maldonado – Caiman Lake
After breakfast, our driver will be ready to take you to the airport. We recommend going 4 hours before your flight to Puerto Maldonado.
Upon your arrival in Puerto Maldonado, Peru´s Capital City of Biodiversity, we will welcome you at the airport. Then, we´ll start our program with a visit around the city on a bus.
Afterwards, we will go to Puerto Capitanía to board a motorized riverboat, and we´ll navigate on the Madre de Dios River. During the journey, we will submerge in a fascinating natural environment. If we are lucky, we will witness Ronsocos, Caimans, Turtles, Herons, Cormorants, and other animal species in their natural environment.
Upon arrival at Ecoamazonia Lodge, you will be warmly welcomed with a refreshing tropical drink. After settling into your comfortable bungalow, you will enjoy a delicious lunch while taking in the unique atmosphere of the Peruvian Amazon.
Caimán Cocha
After lunch, your specialized guide will lead you along a well-marked interpretive trail to Caimán Cocha, a small lake known for its rich wildlife. Here, you will have the opportunity to observe black caimans (Melanosuchus niger) and spectacled caimans (Caiman crocodilus) in their natural habitat, while learning about their behavior and the unique ecosystem of the Amazon rainforest.
At the end of the evening, you will witness the spectacular sunset in the Amazon, an experience full of intensities overwhelming color ranges.
Upon returning to the Lodge, a delicious dinner will await you, and you will enjoy free time to share unforgettable moments at the bar, equipped with an excellent game room and all the drinks you can imagine.
Day 3: Lake Apu Victor – Monkey Island
The morning begins with the sound of beautiful birdsongs from the Amazon Paradise. A hearty breakfast will provide the energy for a morning full of new experiences.
Following breakfast, you will embark on a guided hike into the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Walking along specially designed trails, you will cross scenic bridges spanning streams and ravines while discovering the remarkable biodiversity and natural beauty of this unique ecosystem.
Along the way, you will discover the fascinating flooded forest, home to an extraordinary variety of flora and wildlife, offering a unique glimpse into the rich biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest. The excursion continues to the spectacular Lake Apu Víctor, a pristine body of water nestled among marshlands and giant rainforest trees, offering an unforgettable glimpse into the beauty of the Peruvian Amazon.
Afterwards, we´ll go up to the Observation Deck, from which we´ll enjoy a panoramic view on the lake, observing Parrots, Macaws, Toucans, Camungos, Shanshos, Herons, and other animals, such as Caimans, Turtles, etc., and if we are lucky, we´ll have a chance to observe the Giant Otter, one of the rainforest´s most spectacular animals.
After several hours, we will head back to the Lodge to enjoy lunch together.
Monkey Island
In the afternoon, accompanied by our specialized guide, we will visit Monkey Island, a unique place in the heart of the Madre de Dios River, five minutes away from the Lodge. During the hike, we will observe extraordinary landscapes, with an exuberant flora, sheltering a variety of monkey species, in their natural habitat, such as Maquisapas, Capuchins, Small Lion Monkeys, Frailes, Cotos, and other animal species like the Coati and Sloths and a great variety of birds.
Finally, we´ll complete our visit to the island, enjoying the sunset with the most impressive dusk in the jungle. Back at the lodge, we conclude the day with a pleasant dinner.
Day 4: Return to Puerto Maldonado – Flight to Cusco
After a restful night’s sleep, awaken to the enchanting melodies of birds from the Amazon rainforest. A farewell breakfast will be served in the dining room before beginning the journey back to Puerto Maldonado.
Upon arrival at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, a representative from Peruvian Culture Tours will warmly welcome you and provide a comfortable transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
After check-in, the remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. You may enjoy lunch at your preferred restaurant and take time to explore the charming streets, historic plazas, and vibrant atmosphere of Cusco at a relaxed pace, allowing for a gradual acclimatization to the city’s altitude and unique cultural heritage.
Day 5: Sacred Valley Tour
After breakfast at your hotel in Cusco, your private guide from Peruvian Culture Tours will meet you in the lobby at 8:00 a.m. to begin an unforgettable full-day journey through the legendary Sacred Valley of the Incas. Traveling in the comfort of private transportation, you will discover some of the most remarkable archaeological, cultural, and natural attractions of the Andean highlands.
The day begins with a guided visit to Chinchero, a charming Andean village considered one of the most important Inca settlements in Peru. Admire its impressive agricultural terraces, colonial church built upon Inca foundations, and the enduring traditions that continue to shape local life.
Moray
Continue to Moray, an extraordinary archaeological site featuring concentric circular terraces. Believed to have functioned as an agricultural experimentation center, Moray offers fascinating insight into the advanced engineering and agricultural knowledge of the Inca civilization.
Around midday, you will arrive in Urubamba, the heart of the Sacred Valley, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch at a carefully selected restaurant. Savor a variety of traditional Peruvian specialties and international dishes while surrounded by the valley’s stunning natural scenery.
In the afternoon, visit the magnificent archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, one of the finest surviving examples of Inca urban planning and architecture. Explore its monumental terraces, ceremonial temples, intricate stonework, and strategic defensive structures while learning about its vital role within the Inca Empire. After all the tours, we head to our hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Day 6: Machu Picchu Tour Sunset
Today, you will experience the breathtaking wonder of Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
After breakfast at your hotel in the Sacred Valley, you will travel by comfortable private van to the train station, where you will board a Touristic train to Aguas Calientes. During the approximately two-hour journey, you will enjoy spectacular views through large panoramic windows, admiring the majestic mountains, winding rivers, and lush cloud forest landscapes of the Andes.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our professional guide will warmly welcome you and accompany you to your hotel. You will then have free time to enjoy lunch at one of the town’s recommended restaurants, including Full House Craft Beer & Peruvian Cuisine, Chullos Restaurant, Ponchos Peruvian Kitchen, Green House Vegetarian Restaurant, or Misky Restaurant.
Machu Picchu Tour
In the afternoon, your guide will accompany you to the bus station for a scenic 35-minute ride up the mountain to Machu Picchu. If weather conditions allow, you may have the unforgettable opportunity to enjoy the sunset over the ancient Inca citadel.
After presenting your passport and entrance ticket, you will begin a guided tour of approximately three hours through this extraordinary archaeological masterpiece. During the visit, you will explore the most iconic viewpoints for classic Machu Picchu photographs while learning about the remarkable Inca architecture, sacred temples, agricultural terraces, and advanced engineering that make this site one of the world’s greatest cultural treasures.
At the end of the tour, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you can relax, enjoy a memorable dinner, and spend the night surrounded by the magical atmosphere of Machu Picchu town.
Day 7: Panoramic Observatory Train with Balcony & Return to Ollantaytambo
Enjoy a relaxing morning at your hotel in Aguas Calientes before breakfast. Afterward, you will have free time to explore the charming town, browse the local handicraft and textile markets, or simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings at the foot of Machu Picchu.
At the scheduled time, we will accompany you to the train station to board the Panoramic Observatory Train. During the approximately two-hour journey to Ollantaytambo, admire the spectacular Andean scenery from the train’s panoramic windows and open-air balcony while enjoying live Andean music, traditional quinoa snacks, and a cup of coca tea.
Upon arrival, your Peruvian Culture Tours representative will greet you and transfer you by private vehicle to your hotel in Ollantaytambo. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore this charming living Inca town at your own pace.
Day 8: Ollantaytambo & Authentic Cultural Experience in Patacancha
After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel in Ollantaytambo and travel by private vehicle to the remote Quechua community of Patacancha (3,800 m / 12,467 ft), where you will be warmly welcomed by a local family with a traditional herbal drink.
Experience the rich traditions of the Andes through hands-on activities, including alpaca farming, a weaving demonstration using natural alpaca wool, traditional textile techniques, and learning about native medicinal plants and the incredible diversity of Andean potatoes.
In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk through the community’s fields, where you will discover the importance of agriculture in Quechua culture while observing alpacas and llamas in their natural surroundings.
End the day with a delicious homemade dinner and an overnight stay in a family lodge, offering an authentic opportunity to connect with the warmth, traditions, and daily life of the Quechua people.
Day 9: Hummingbird Sanctuary, Urubamba Market & Maras Salt Mines
After a delicious breakfast in the Quechua community of Patacancha, we will travel by private vehicle back to the Sacred Valley. Along the way, we will visit a beautiful Hummingbird Sanctuary, where you can observe several species of hummingbirds and other native Andean birds in their natural habitat.
Next, we will explore the colorful Urubamba Market, where local families from surrounding communities gather to trade fresh produce and traditional products, offering an authentic glimpse into everyday life in the Andes.
In the afternoon, we will visit the spectacular Maras Salt Mines, a remarkable network of thousands of salt pools that have been carefully cultivated since Inca times. Here, local families continue to preserve this ancient tradition while harvesting natural mountain salt. After enjoying the breathtaking scenery, we will continue our journey back to Cusco, passing through the beautiful landscapes of the Sacred Valley.
Day 10: Cusco City Tour – Inca Mumies Museum
Discover the wonders of Cusco on an unforgettable half-day city tour beginning at 8:00 AM. After breakfast at your hotel, our professional guide will greet you and accompany you in comfortable tourist transportation for an enriching journey through the ancient capital of the Inca Empire.
During the tour, you will explore some of the most iconic archaeological sites surrounding Cusco, including the majestic Sacsayhuamán and the ceremonial center of Qenqo. Along the way, you will learn about the fascinating history, impressive architecture, and enduring traditions of the Inca civilization.
The experience also includes a visit to the Inca Mummies Museum, where you will gain unique insights into ancient Inca culture, rituals, and burial practices.

Day 11: Titicaca Train Journey from Cusco to Puno

After breakfast at your hotel in Cusco (3,399 m / 11,152 ft), we will transfer you to the Wanchaq Train Station to board the renowned Titicaca Train, one of the most spectacular rail journeys in South America. This full-day train experience takes you across the breathtaking landscapes of the Peruvian Andes en route to Puno (3,827 m / 12,556 ft), gateway to the legendary Lake Titicaca (3,812 m / 12,507 ft).
Along the journey, you will enjoy panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, traditional Andean villages, local communities, and vast highland plains where alpacas and llamas roam freely. Enjoy spectacular views from the train’s elegant observation car and open-air balcony, where you can fully appreciate the beauty of the Andes and take memorable photographs of the stunning landscapes.
Titicaca Train
On board, you will experience the finest Andean hospitality, including a welcome show, a gourmet three-course lunch, afternoon tea service, live music, traditional dance performances, and a Pisco Sour demonstration. You will also have time to explore the beautifully designed train cars and relax in the sophisticated atmosphere.

Day 12: Lake Titicaca Tour
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel in Puno (3,827 m / 12,556 ft), our guide will pick you up to begin an unforgettable full-day exploration of Lake Titicaca (3,812 m / 12,507 ft), the highest navigable lake in the world.
We will transfer to the port and board a comfortable boat to visit some of the lake’s most fascinating communities. Our first stop is the famous Uros Floating Islands, where you will learn about the unique lifestyle, traditions, and culture of the Uros people, who have built their islands entirely from totora reeds for generations.
Taquile Island
We then continue across the lake to Taquile Island, renowned for its rich cultural heritage, traditional textiles, and breathtaking scenery. Upon arrival, enjoy a gradual uphill walk of approximately 30 minutes to the main community, where you will experience local traditions and have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional dance performance presented by community members.

Day 13: Transport to Juliaca Airport
After enjoying a delightful breakfast at your hotel, our team will transfer you to Juliaca Airport approximately 3 hours before your flight departure to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey.
From Juliaca airport , you will board your flight to Lima, where you will have enough time to connect to your international flight home.
