How are we different?

Peruvian Culture Tours is a local, family-owned tour operator founded and led by certified guides David and Brisa. They come from two villages in the Sacred Valley, Yanahuara and Pucamarka in Lamay, where their families have lived for generations. David’s father was a village shaman who taught him about medicinal plants and traditional Inca ways of connecting with nature. Growing up surrounded by mountains, lakes, and rivers, David developed a deep connection to the Andes. This passion led him to become a certified tour guide, and he has also participated in archaeological excavations at Inca sites.

Brisa was born in Pucamarca in the Andes, within a close-knit farming family deeply connected to nature. Raised among lakes, mountains, and streams, she learned to respect the environment and embrace her ancestral Andean culture. This strong cultural identity inspired her to share her heritage through tourism.

After more than a decade working as guides for other companies across the Amazon and major Inca sites in Peru, David and Brisa decided they could better support their communities by creating their own locally owned company. Today, Peruvian Culture Tours offers authentic experiences along Machu Picchu and multiple trekking routes, including the Classic Inca Trail, Salkantay, Lares, Huchuy Qosqo, and the Inca Jungle Trail. Each journey highlights culture, history, and nature, and is personally led by David and Brisa.
