This package offers the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the best of Peru in a Little over two weeks. You will learn about the rich gastronomy of the country, from guinea pigs to ceviche, and explore the customs, traditions, and values of this rich nation – how better to learn about Pachamama (the Incan embodiment of Mother Nature) than through visiting sacred sites dedicated to her? This personal experience with David and Brisa and other local people from small mountain villages offers the chance to explore unique Peru behind the mass tourism, instead of absorbing knowledge of the land and its culture from those who know it best.
Day 1: Arrival in Lima
Upon your arrival at the airport, our team staff will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it to give you a warm welcome to our country, to later transfer you to your hotel in Lima.
You will have the afternoon free to explore. We recommend a walk through the picturesque Parque del Amor, which has impressive views of the Lima coast. Another similar option is Kennedy Park, very close to the Chabuca Granda Theater.
Day 2: City tour Lima, Overnight Paracas
With this tour of Lima, we will discover its most representative places: the Plaza de Armas, Huaca Pucllana, the Monastery of San Francisco and its catacombs… and much more!
On the 487th anniversary of the founding of Lima, we remember the conquistador Francisco Pizarro, who was assigned the task of choosing the capital of the Spanish Viceroyalty, and took into account that it had to be near the sea. Afthernoon we will go to Paracas.
Day 3: Paracas – Ballestas Islands – Huacachina – Buggys and sandbording. Overnight Nazca
After breakfast we will explore the incredible fauna of the Peruvian coast by boat on Ballestas Island where we will observe sea lions, booby birds, pelicans, penguins and other marine animals. Upon returning we will be able to appreciate the chandelier, a gigantic figure painted in the sand on the hillside. After this visit we will travel to the Huacachina Desert Oasis and enjoy the sand sports and finish with a local lunch, before finally taking the transport to Nazca
Day 4: Nazca Lines- Overnight Arequipa
After breakfast, we will head to Nazca Aerdromo Maria Reiche Neuman to board a small plane that will take a 45-minute flight over the hieroglyphs of Nazca. After this flight and enjoying our afternoon, we will travel to the White City of Arequipa. (9H approx. trip Nazca -Arequipa) Once arrive we will settle into the hotel and you will have the evening to rest.
Day 5: Arequipa City – Chivay
After a delicious breakfast, You will have a free morning and can take time to wander the city before taking our transport to Chivay . Trip of approximately 4 hours with unique landscapes, passing through the deepest canyons in the world. Overnight in Chivay.
Day 6: Chivay- Colca canyon-Puno
Early in the morning after breakfast, we will take transportation to the Cruz del Cóndor where you can observe the flight in its natural habitat. After enjoying this wonderful experience, we will return to Chivay from here our transportation will take us to Puno approximately 4 hours away. Overnight in Puno.
Day 7: Puno – Lake Titicaca – Floating Islands of Uros and Taquile
Early in the morning, we will go on an unforgettable excursion through the highest navigable lake in the world, where we find the floating islands of Uros and the islands of Taquile and Amantani, which come from a culture similar to that of the Incas and sample their food. After the sunset, we will return to the city of Puno and rest.
Day 8: Puno – Cusco (tourist bus)
After breakfast you will be transported from Puno to Cusco Bus station, stopping at key sites along the way. After arrival in Cusco, we will settle into the hotel.
Day 9: Acclimatization and City Tour
After breakfast and enjoying a relaxed morning to adapt to the weather, we will visit key sites near the city such as Sacsayhuaman and Tambomachay, and then finally return to the hotel.
Day 10: Sacred Valley Tour – Aguas Calientes
The sacred valley of the Incas awaits us after breakfast at our hotel in Cusco. We will depart from the city of Cusco to cross the Andes mountain range enter the sacred valley of the Incas and see key sites such as Pisac, Ollamtaytambo, and Moray, where we will learn about their culture and enjoy dinner at sunset, before ending the day in Aguas Calientes town.
Day 11: Full Day Machu Picchu Tour- back to Cusco
After breakfast at our Hotel, we will begin our visit to one of the 7 Wonders of the World. First, we will take a bus that will leave us at the entrance to Machu Picchu, and then we will have a 3-hour guided tour of the important places of the citadel. Then we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes for lunch. Take the train back to Ollantaytambo. from here by car to your hotel in Cusco.
Day 12: Cusco – Puerto Maldonado (plane)
Transfer to the airport and departure to Puerto Maldonado, capital of biodiversity in Peru. You will be received at the airport and we will begin our tour in the city of Puerto Maldonado with a check-in where we will take our basic things for our stay in the jungle. If you have a suitcase, you can leave it at the Puerto Maldonado office. Then we will take our boat along the Madre de Dios River to enter the jungle and connect with Mother Nature and the habitat of many animals such as Alligators, turtles, herons, and monkeys. You will have time to enjoy the lush vegetation and climate.
Accommodation in your private room. After your lunch, we will have a small excursion to Cocha Caiman on the way we will be able to enjoy the biodiversity of the jungle, such as monkeys, snakes, and others. Return to the lodge , dinner and rest in our lodge.
Day 13: Puerto Maldonado tour
After a delicious breakfast, we will get to know the jungle with all its diversity, through a guided tour of Cocha Perdida. One of the best places to get the best views of wild animals and birds such as the Anaconda, Mammals, Monkeys and many others during the boat ride through the swamps. We will finish with a walk through the deep jungle for 3 hours and return to our lodge, have lunch and in the afternoon we will visit Monkey Island, have dinner and rest.
Day 14: Puerto Maldonado – Lima (plane)
Breakfast at the lodge and transfer to Puerto Maldonado airport and departure to Lima for connections with international flights.
