Day 1: Cusco – Mollepata – Humantay Lagoon – Salkantaypampa 4200.
In the morning, we will pick you up from the hotel around 4:00 AM.Then, we’ll travel by private van to Mollepata, a 2-hour journey. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a delicious breakfast.Afterward, we’ll continue for another hour to reach Soraypampa, the starting point of our trail. Finally, we’ll begin our hike.
First, we will meet our staff, including the chef and porters.Then, we’ll begin the 2-hour trek to Humantay Lagoon, situated at 4,200 meters.Upon arrival, we’ll explore the stunning lake. Afterward, we’ll have a “history time” session to learn about the area before finally descending back to Soraypampa for a delicious lunch.
We will first have a delicious lunch in Soraypampa, at 3,850 meters, with panoramic views of the Salkantay Glacier, Humantay Mountain, and other nearby peaks.Afterward, in the afternoon, we will continue our trek toward Salkantay Pampa, which will take about a 1-hour hike.
In the evening, we will spend the night at Salkantay Pampa, where we will first enjoy tea time, then a delicious dinner, followed by a well-deserved rest..
Day 2: Salkantay pampa-Chaullay camping site.
BREAKFAST:In the morning, we will first receive a wake-up call with coca tea.After that, we will enjoy a hearty breakfast to start the day.
ACTIVITIES: Next, we will begin our trek to the Salkantay Pass, the highest point of the trail at 4,620 meters.Along the way, we may spot llamas, alpacas, and condors.Afterward, we’ll take a short rest at Abra Salkantay to appreciate the stunning mountain views. Then, we will descend for about 2 hours to reach the lunch point.
LUNCH: We will first enjoy a delicious lunch in Huayra Machay.Afterward, we will immerse ourselves in the cloud forest, continuing our walk for 3 hours toward the Chaullay campsite.Along the way, we’ll pass through the lush forest, where we may spot hummingbirds and other wildlife.
OVERNIGHT: We will camp in the Chaullay community.First, we’ll enjoy a soothing cup of coca tea.Then, we’ll have a delicious dinner to conclude the day.
Day 3: Chaullay – la playa (Sawayaco).
BREAKFAST: After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will first fill our bottles with clean water.Then, at 6:00 AM, we will begin our trek into the tropical jungle. Along the way, we will pass through narrow trails and encounter waterfalls, all while being surrounded by rich flora and fauna.
ACTIVITIES: As we continue with our trek, it will be possible to spot Peruvian birds and see local farming lands.Then, we will make a stop to taste the tropical fruit, granadilla. Following this, we will proceed to the lunch point.
LUNCH:First, we will have a delicious lunch in the community of Sahuayaco.Afterward, we will then have the opportunity to participate in an organic coffee experience tour.
AFTERNOON OPTIONAL:You have the option to visit the Cocalmayo hot springs (for an additional charge).To get there, we will first take a short car ride.Once we arrive, you will have an hour to relax and enjoy the natural thermal waters. Afterward, we will return to the campsite for tea and dinner.
Day 4: Sahuayaco playa – Inca Trail Llaqta Pata – Hydroelectric- Machupicchu town.
BREAKFAST:Wake up at 5:00 AM with a refreshing cup of coca tea.After enjoying a delicious breakfast with tropical fruits, we’ll then walk through the forest, passing coffee plantations.Along the way, we’ll reach Llactapata, offering breathtaking views of Machu Picchu, and may spot native birds like toucans. Finally, we’ll descend to the lunch point.
LUNCH:We will first have a delicious and well-deserved lunch in Aomabamba.Afterward, we will continue our descent toward the Hydroelectric dam. From there, we will then walk alongside the river toward Machu Picchu town, Aguas Calientes.
OVERNIGHT:We will first check in to our hotel in Aguas Calientes town, where we will spend the night.Later, we will then have a delicious dinner, followed by a briefing about the upcoming Machu Picchu tour.
Day 5: Machu Picchu Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu Tour, One of the 7 wonders of the world – return to Cusco.
BREAKFAST: At 6:00 AM in the hotel, we recommend you take the bus from Aguas Calientes town to Machu Picchu.Then, afterward, we will board a bus for a 35-minute ride up to the Machu Picchu entrance. Moreover, this scenic journey offers breathtaking, stunning views along the way.
WALK UP TO MACHU PICCHU ENTRANCE: We start by walking from the hotel downhill for 20 minutes, and then, afterward, we walk uphill for about an hour. During this time, you will gradually ascend toward the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
MACHUPICCHU TOUR: Upon arrival, we will enter the Machu Picchu ruins with your private professional tour guide.Additionally, ensure you have your entrance tickets and personal passport ready. Once inside, we’ll begin a 2-hour guided tour. During the tour, you will have the chance to admire the impressive architecture, Incan hydraulic engineering, and other significant sites within the archaeological center.
RETURN FROM MACHU PICCHU: After the Machu Picchu tour, we will, consequently, head back to Machu Picchu town, where you can relax afterward.
LUNCH: At one of the excellent restaurants in Machu Picchu town, you can enjoy a delicious meal.Following lunch, then, make your way to the train station, ensuring that you arrive at least 30 minutes before your train departure.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING
- Original passport and (University, College valid student card if applicable).
- A comfortable 25 Lt trek backpack to carry your personal belongings of 5 Kg. (If you want to bring more than 5 kg, let us know in advance, please).
- Warm sleeping bag.
- Lighter-style trekking boots with good ankle support or tough sports shoes, light sandals, or clogs are recommended to rest at campsites.
- Trekking poles with rubber tips. Metal tips are not allowed on the trail.
- Warm clothes, and layers for variable temperatures, especially at night.
- Thermal underwear can be worn in a sleeping bag or under cold conditions.
- Gloves or mittens, scarf, wool socks, woolen hat for cold nights
- T-shirts and trekking pants that zip off to short pants for comfort.
- Flashlight, head torch, and extra batteries.
- Camera extra batteries and binoculars.
- Wear a hat with a broad visor to keep the sun off your face.
- Sunscreen and sunglasses.
- Personal medical kit, insect repellent.
- Rain Gear: a good rain jacket.
- Toiletries, toilet paper, small towels.
- 2-liter water bottles and disposable plastic bottles are forbidden.
- Extra money for drinks on the route, Machupicchu and Aguas Calientes.
