Day 1: Cusco city –Lares hot sprits – Kiswarani 6 Waterfalls and Campsite.
Firstly, will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 5 a.m. To start the Lares Trek with the Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, it will be a three-hour trip from Cusco to Lares through the beautiful landscape of the Holy Mountains on the way to Lares Trail with Short Inca trail to Machu Picchu ,we will also appreciate mountain ranges full of life and incomparable landscapes. Once we arrived at the Lares hot springs, divided into several pools that range from ice to hot water. They are all composed of pure volcanic water, which is medicinal and considered good for bones, stress, muscles, etc. Where our adventure begins towards the lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu, Inca city. After a delicious breakfast and enjoying the medicinal waters for a while, we will begin our trail in Lares. Our transportation will take us 20 minutes to the beginning of the Camino, where we will meet with our local team, muleteers, and professional chef. The horses will be in charge of bringing the luggage to the camp, then we will begin the walk. Our first lunch will be in a village called Kiswarani. This town located in the Andes cultivates organic potatoes and a wide variety of them. After the delicious and organic lunch, we will walk to the camp where we will enjoy a hot dinner due to the cold that we will begin to feel, we will spend the night in the Lares mountains overlooking the Lares lagoon in comfortable tents.
Day 2: Kiswarani – Condor Mountain Pass – Lares trail Cancha Cancha Village.
After a delicious breakfast, we start the Lares trekking trail toward our second camp. On this day you will have spectacular views of the mountains of Peru and the colorful lagoons of Lares, one of the best tours in Peru. You will see that the local people of Lares will already be up at dawn and working or taking care of the Llamas Alpacas, and babies to graze the herds. Then, we will fill our water bottles, and a snack consisting of seasonal fruits to then begin your expedition. We will ascend by river and mountains. It will take three to four hours to reach the top of the mountain. This pass is called the Condor Flight Pass.
The views of the valley from the hike from Lares to Condor Pass are impressive. You will see how they raise their cuy cusqueño, at night you will enjoy a hot Coca tea drink and a hot dinner.
Day 3: Cancha Cancha – Huaran village –Salt Mine in Maras Inca land – overnight in Ollantaytambo.
After breakfast, we will say goodbye to the Cancha Cancha community, continuing with our walk to descend to the warmest area of the Sacred Valley of the Incas and we will begin to feel the changes in the micro-climate and the beautiful landscapes of Lares, we will begin to see crops different from those of the high mountains of Lares.
Around the Sacred Valley of the Incas, people grow white corn, giant corn, organic quinoa, peaches, apples, avocados, and other types of fruit. This area has a lot of Inca history, and you will finish your tour in the small town of Huaran, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, which is at 2700m. Sacred Valley of Huarán awaits us with a delicious lunch and then we will say goodbye to the muleteers and their horses that accompanied us on the trip to Lares. Our cook and porters accompany us to the Short Inca Trail.
The small town of Huarán is a town with original customs. We will take private transportation of Peruvian culture tours through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and make a short trip to the salt mine of maras Salineras, located in the district of Maras Cusco, in which. More than 3,000 small evaporation chambers have been created that appear to be falling down the side of the mountain. These Peruvian salt mines in Maras have been in use since pre-Inca times. The salt is said to have healing properties because it is full of natural minerals, some even come out pink. Local families own each of these Peru Cusco salt flats and make a living supplying salt to the towns around the Sacred Valley. There is a small shop on site if you want to take some Peruvian Inca salt home with you.
After visiting Maras Salineras, we will board our private transport for a 45-minute tour through the Sacred Valley of the Incas until we reach Ollantaytambo, called a living Inca town because the inhabitants still preserve their typical costumes. It still has many Incas water canals, colonial houses, and Inca walls. Our professional tourist guide will take you to see this small town until dinner time, which will be in a local restaurant in Ollantaytambo and we will spend the night in the hotel.
Day 4: Ollantaytambo – trek Km 104 Chachabamba- Wiñay Wayna Mountain – sun gate – Machu Picchu citadel, classic photo of Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes hot spring town.
The Short Inca Trail Tour to Machu Picchu is a beautiful way to Machu Picchu that begins with the pickup from your hotel in Ollantaytambo at 5 am. Next, we will go to the Ollantaytambo train station and we will be taking our train from Ollantaytambo in the early hours of the morning.

After enjoying the unique views, we will begin our descent to one of the seven wonders of the world, Machu Picchu. Upon our arrival at Machu Picchu, we will enjoy the sunset and classic photo points of Machu Picchu without haste. To finish we will take the bus from Machu Picchu to the town of Aguas Calientes or the town of Machu Picchu. Where we will have a hotel reserved and your guide will help you with the check-in we will have time to rest after a long trip to Machu Picchu.
Day 5: Machu Picchu Tour – Ollantaytambo – back to Cusco city.
BREAKFAST: To begin, we will have breakfast at the hotel. Afterward, we recommend taking the bus from Aguas Calientes town. Following that, you can enjoy a scenic ride that will bring you closer to your next exciting destination.
BUS TO MACHU PICCHU: Next, we will board a bus for a 35-minute ride up to the Machu Picchu entrance.
WALK UP TO MACHU PICCHU ENTRANCE: Alternatively, you may choose to walk uphill for about an hour and a half, during which you will gradually ascend towards the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Along the way, you can enjoy the stunning scenery before you reach your destination
MACHU PICCHU TOUR: Upon arrival, we will enter the Machu Picchu ruins with your tour guide, who will have your entrance tickets and personal passport. Once inside, enjoy a 2.5-hour guided tour of the site. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to admire the impressive architecture, Inca hydraulic engineering, and other significant sites within the archaeological center.
RETURN FROM MACHU PICCHU: After the tour, we will head back from Machu Picchu.
LUNCH: Then, enjoy lunch at one of the excellent restaurants near Machu Picchu. Following lunch, make your way to the train station, ensuring that you arrive at least 30 minutes before your train departure.

The Lares trek begins in the town of Lares, located at an altitude of 3,226 m, ascending to the Condor’s flight pass, which is at 4,680 meters above sea level. then follows the descent back to the Sacred Valley. Machu Picchu mountain is located at an altitude of 10,111 feet (3,082 M.S.N.)
Some people can be affected by altitude sickness, but this is not a big problem for this trek, for most people it is quite acclimatized, although there are also medications to relieve the symptoms.

About booking and payment form
Booking a TRIP (trek or by train) requires a deposit of 50% of the total price of the trip. Please note that this deposit is mandatory to buy the train and entrance tickets to Machu Picchu, all subject to availability. After your deposit and reservation then confirmed, your outstanding balance is due when you arrive in Cusco, either 48 hours before departure or during your briefing. If you do not pay outstanding balances before departure, you cannot participate in your scheduled trip. The final acceptance of any participant is subject to the receipt and review of all the forms, documents, and payments required.
About trip itineraries
All Peruvian Culture Tours hikes are subject to itinerary changes based on a variety of circumstances, Peruvian Culture Tours reserves the right to cancel or change any trip due to river, road, weather conditions, or political climate. We also reserve the right to cancel any trip due to client unsuitability because of age, ill health, poor fitness, intoxication, etc.
Any missed tours due to the above-listed incidences (eg weather conditions or political climate) cannot be refunded or recuperated.
The price and duration of a hiking trip will never change once you’re registered. Payments are not refundable for itinerary changes or public land closures. If a trip is canceled due to circumstances beyond our control a trip credit equal to the full amount paid will be issued.
Change policy
If you wish to change the date of departure/ and or route of your trek after making the reservation/deposit, there will be a $50 per-person fee to make the change.
Except if the change is made in the 48 hours prior to the trek, when the change will cost $100 per person.
Cancelations by clients:
Cancelation of the tour once you have received a written confirmation incurs a loss of booking deposit -A non-refundable booking deposit.
- Cancelation of the tour within 45 to 22 days before the date of tour departure incurs a loss of 70% of the total tour cost.
- Cancelation of the tour within 21 to 9 days before departure incurs a loss of 80% of the total tour cost.
- Cancelation of the tour within 8 days to 48 hours before departure incurs a loss of 100% of the total tour cost.
- Peruvian Culture Tours is not responsible for additional costs due to unfavorable weather conditions, natural catastrophes, strikes, accidents, illness, injury, loss of personal items, etc. It is the client’s responsibility to carry insurance to cover these types of events. We reserve the right to modify or cancel the program due to any unforeseen conditions.
Medical releases
We require medical releases for prospective guests over 70 years of age and for various circumstances such as a history of cardiovascular disease, chronic illness, and other conditions and factors.
