Day 1: Cusco – Km 84 – Wayllabamba.

We begin by picking you up from your hotel in Cusco at 5:00 a.m. After a scenic 1.5-hour drive, we arrive in Ollantaytambo to enjoy a hearty breakfast. Following this, we continue for another hour to Km 82, the official starting point of the Classic Inca Trail.

Upon arrival, you’ll meet the trekking team—our dedicated chef, friendly porters, and professional guide. Next, your guide will provide a detailed introduction to the trail and the days ahead.

Soon after, we begin our trek, heading to the first archaeological site, Llactapata, where you’ll learn about its history and importance in the Inca Empire.

Later, we continue walking to Tarayoc, where a delicious lunch awaits. After a short rest, we resume the hike to our first campsite at Wayllabamba.

In the evening, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner and rest under the stars—ready for the adventure ahead.

Day 2:Wayllabamba -Conquer the Challenge Dead Woman’s Pass—Pacaymayo.

Day 2 is where the adventure truly begins to unfold. After an early breakfast, we leave the lush valley behind and begin the ascent to Dead Woman’s Pass (Warmiwañusca)—the highest point of the trek at 4,215 meters (13,828 ft).

As we climb, the landscapes shift dramatically—from cloud forest to high-altitude grasslands. Along the way, nature reveals its beauty: listen for the call of the Andean flicker, watch hummingbirds dart among orchids, and embrace the silence of the sacred mountains.

Once at the summit, take time to breathe deeply and absorb the panoramic views of the Andes. This is a moment of true accomplishment.

Then, we descend into the peaceful Pacaymayo Valley, where our campsite is waiting.

By evening, enjoy a well-deserved dinner and rest beneath a blanket of stars—knowing you’ve conquered the most demanding part of the trail.

Day 3: Pacasmayo –Sayaqmarca –Wiñay Wayna.

Day 3 of the Classic Inca Trail is often called the most beautiful—and for good reason. To begin, we wake to a warm cup of tea and a nourishing breakfast, ready to explore one of the most scenic stretches of the Qhapaq Ñan, the royal Inca road.

Shortly after, we leave Pacaymayo and ascend to the stunning Sayaqmarca, an ancient site offering breathtaking views and a glimpse into the past. As we move forward, the trail takes us into a vibrant cloud forest filled with orchids and Peruvian hummingbirds, creating an unforgettable natural experience.

Later, we enjoy a relaxing lunch surrounded by jungle beauty. Then, we continue toward Wiñay Wayna, where elegant terraces and water channels showcase Inca engineering.

By evening, we set up camp, share dinner, and rest beneath the stars. In the end, Wiñay Wayna offers the peace and inspiration needed for the final day’s journey to Machu Picchu.

Day 4: Machu Picchu Tour –back to Cusco.

Day 4 of the Classic Inca Trail is the moment you’ve been waiting for. Before sunrise, we wake early, filled with anticipation. After a light breakfast, we begin the final stretch, hiking under the stars toward the Sun Gate (Inti Punku).

As dawn breaks, golden light spreads across the Andes, and suddenly—Machu Picchu appears through the mist. The breathtaking view rewards every step of the journey.

Next, we descend into the ancient city, following the same paths once used by Inca royalty. Along the way, the temples, terraces, and stonework reveal the brilliance of Inca engineering.

Throughout the morning, a knowledgeable guide brings the site’s history to life. Whether you’re at the Temple of the Sun or the Watchman’s Hut, the energy is unforgettable.

Afterward, we take a 35-minute bus ride to Aguas Calientes for lunch, we need to be 30 minute before the departure at the train station to board the train to Ollantaytambo, followed by a scenic drive back to Cusco.

  • Warm clothes, and layers for variable temperatures especially at night.
  • Thermal underwear can be worn in a sleeping bag or under cold conditions.
  • Gloves or mittens, scarf, wool socks, woolen hat for cold nights
  • T-shirts and trekking pants that zip off to short pants for comfort.
  • Flashlight, head torch, extra batteries and camera
  • Wear a hat with a broad visor to keep the sun off your face.
  • Sunscreen and sunglasses.
  • Personal medical kit, insect repellent.
  • Rain Gear: a good rain jacket.
  • Toiletries, toilet paper, small towel.
  • 2-liter water bottle, (disposable plastic bottles are forbidden).
  • Extra money for drinks on the route, Machupicchu and Aguas Calientes.​
