Day 1: Cusco Biking Abra Malaga -Santa María: rafting.
Morning: Pick up from your hotel at 6:30 am, departing from Cusco to head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The bus ride takes 1 hour and 20 minutes, with a short stop to shop or use the bathroom near Ollantaytambo.
Breakfast: in the Sacred Valley close to Ollantaytambo, where we will have a short stop to shop or go to the bathroom. We will stop for 30 minutes to have a good breakfast, then we will continue.
Activities: we will continue with the bus ride to Abra Malaga pass 4316 m, on the way we will appreciate the view of the snow-capped mountains, alpacas, lamas, and potato farming lands. Then we arrive at the Abra Malaga pass, 4316 m, the starting point of our biking tour. First, we will give you the equipment for a 1-hour bike ride down road 55 km, from where we will see the beginning of the Peruvian Amazon cloud forest.
Biking activity finished: Then we will continue with our private transport to the Santa Maria district for 45 minutes.
Lunch in Santa María: we will have our lunch, and after lunch, we will show you your rooms, then you can have optional activities, such as rafting on the Urubamba River. This river offers us categories from I, II, and III + with rapids. And we need these, helmets, windbreakers, and life jackets of category V, which will be provided. This activity is canceled in the rainy season from December to March because of the heavy rain. After this activity, we have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Santa María – Inca Jungle Trail to Santa Teresa.
Morning: It’s the second day of the Inca Jungle tour, and we’ll begin with a delicious breakfast featuring Peruvian green avocado. After that, we’ll be ready to continue our 4-day Inca Jungle Trekking Tour.
Activities: We will start with an easy 5-hour trek through the jungle, passing by local communities as we gradually ascend, taking in the stunning mountain landscapes. On our way to lunch, we will visit local families for a Coffee Experience. As we walk along the Inca Trail, we’ll be able to enjoy various jungle fruits such as bananas, mangoes, and passion fruit.
Lunch in Kellomayo Community: We will have lunch that includes guacamole and fresh fruit juice. After lunch, we will take a 30-minute rest. Next, we’ll head to the thermal baths of Cocalmayo, where we will relax for 2 hours. Afterward, we will travel to the Santa Teresa district, where we will spend the night at a hotel and have dinner.
Day 3: Santa Teresa — hydroelectric -aquas calientes town.
Morning: On day three of the Inca Jungle trek, we will enjoy a varied breakfast featuring tropical fruits from the area at 7:00 AM.
Activities: We will begin our day at 8:00 AM with optional zip-lining activities in the Santa Teresa district for a duration of 2 hours. Following that, we will take a bus for 35 minutes to reach the Hydroelectric.
Lunch in Hydroelectric: We will have a delicious lunch at noon and take a 30-minute break. After lunch, we will start our hike to Machu Picchu town, which is located 10 km from the train tracks. This trek will take approximately 3 hours. Our official tour guide will be knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. Overnight: Upon our arrival in Machu Picchu town, we will check into our hotel for a little rest. Later, we will have dinner at a nice restaurant in town at 7:00 PM.
Day 4: Machu Picchu Tour – Ollantaytambo – back to Cusco City.
Morning Breakfast at 6:00 AM: On Day 4, we will explore Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The Machu Picchu sanctuary opens at 6:00 AM. We’ll begin with breakfast at our hotel, where our official tour guide will explain the guidelines and restrictions for visiting Machu Picchu.
Activities: After breakfast, we will take a bus for 35 minutes to Machu Picchu Park. Please remember to bring your entrance tickets to Machu Picchu and your passport. Once we enter the Inca city of Machu Picchu, we will have a 3-hour guided tour. After the tour concludes, we will return to Aguas Calientes by tourist bus.
Lunch in Aguas Calientes: After returning from Machu Picchu, you can enjoy lunch at one of the excellent restaurants in Aguas Calientes. Please ensure you arrive at the train station 30 minutes early to board the returning train. Our staff will be waiting for you at the Ollantaytambo station to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

About booking and payment form
Booking a TRIP (trek or by train) requires a deposit of 50% of the total price of the trip. Please note that this deposit is mandatory to buy the train and entrance tickets to Machu Picchu, all subject to availability. After your deposit and reservation then confirmed, your outstanding balance is due when you arrive in Cusco, either 48 hours before departure or during your briefing. If you do not pay outstanding balances before departure, you cannot participate in your scheduled trip. The final acceptance of any participant is subject to the receipt and review of all the forms, documents, and payments required.
About trip itineraries
All Peruvian Culture Tours hikes are subject to itinerary changes based on a variety of circumstances, Peruvian Culture Tours reserves the right to cancel or change any trip due to river, road, weather conditions, or political climate. We also reserve the right to cancel any trip due to client unsuitability because of age, ill-health, poor fitness, intoxication, etc.
Any missed tours due to the above-listed incidences (eg weather conditions or political climate) cannot be refunded or recuperated.
The price and duration of a hiking trip will never change once you’re registered. Payments are not refundable for itinerary changes or public land closures. If a trip is canceled due to circumstances beyond our control a trip credit equal to the full amount paid will be issued.
Change policy
If you wish to change the date of departure/ and or route of your trek after making the reservation/deposit, there will be a $50 per-person fee to make the change. Except if the change is made in the 48 hours prior to the trek, when the change will cost $100 per person.
Cancelations by client:
Cancelation of the tour once you have received a written confirmation incurs a loss of booking deposit -A non-refundable booking deposit.
- Cancelation of the tour within 45 to 22 days before the date of tour departure incurs a loss of 70% of the total tour cost.
- Cancelation of the tour within 21 to 9 days before departure incurs a loss of 80% of the total tour cost.
- Cancelation of the tour within 8 days to 48 hours before departure incurs a loss of 100% of the total tour cost.
- Peruvian Culture Tours does not take responsibility for additional costs due to unfavorable weather conditions, natural catastrophes, strikes, accidents, illness, injury, loss of personal items, etc. It is the client’s responsibility to carry insurance to cover these types of events. We reserve the right to modify or cancel the program due to any of the unforeseen conditions listed above.
Medical releases
We require medical releases for prospective guests over 70 years of age and for various circumstances such as a history of cardiovascular disease, chronic illness, and other conditions and factors.
Let know to the guides if you consume any medical tab, pill, or chronic illness to prevent any accident or emergency case, if you have the first aid kit brought for the trail will be very useful for member hikers.

Travel insurance provides you with trip cancelation or interruption, travel delay, medical expenses, emergency assistance, and baggage delay coverage to protect your financial investment.
