Day 1: Moray—Salt mines—Ollantaytambo— Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu town.
Your journey begins with a 7:00 a.m. pickup from your hotel. Travel in a private van through scenic landscapes to Chinchero, where you’ll visit a local family and learn the ancient art of Andean weaving. Continue to the fascinating circular terraces of Moray, the Inca agricultural laboratory, and the stunning Salt Mines of Maras with over 3,000 salt pools. Enjoy a delicious lunch in Urubamba before exploring the impressive Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo. Later, board the panoramic train to Aguas Calientes, admiring breathtaking views of mountains, glaciers, and rivers along the way. Upon arrival, our representative will greet you and escort you to your hotel to rest.
Day 2: Machu Picchu tour – back to Cusco City.
Start your morning with breakfast at the hotel before taking a scenic 35-minute bus ride from Aguas Calientes to the magnificent Machu Picchu Sanctuary, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. After presenting your original passport and entrance ticket, enjoy a 3-hour guided tour led by our expert local tour guide. Discover the ancient temples, sacred rocks, main plaza, and religious sites while capturing breathtaking photos of this legendary Inca citadel surrounded by stunning mountain landscapes.
Return to Cusco
After exploring Machu Picchu, your guide will accompany you to the bus station for the return trip to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch. Later, board the tourist train back to Ollantaytambo on a scenic 2-hour journey through the Andes. Upon arrival, our Peruvian Culture Tours representative will meet you and transfer you by private van to Cusco (approximately 2 hours), where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel
