Day 1: Cusco City to Tambo Machay – Pukamarca Community
“Departure from your hotel will be at 6:30 am, followed by a transfer to Tambomachay, which is just 20 minutes from the city of Cusco.The Huchuy Qosqo Trek begins here, where we will start by walking slowly through the highest mountains of the Cusco region.Along the way, our guide will perform the Kintu ceremony to Pachamama (Mother Earth).As we continue, we will pass pastures with alpacas and llamas, spot native birds, and admire beautiful blue lakes.At this point, we will stop to enjoy our organic lunch. Afterward, we will proceed to the Pukamarca campsite, located at 4,000 meters, where we will have a delicious organic dinner and spend the night.”
Day 2: Pukamarca Community to Huchuy Qosqo Palace – Aguas Calientes Machu Picchu Town
On the second day of the Huchuy Qosqo Trek, after a delicious breakfast, we will begin a gradual descent toward the archaeological site of Huchuy Qosqo, situated at 3,600 meters.This spectacular ancient city is located in the upper part of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.Along the way, we will pass by refreshing streams, beautiful canyons, small waterfalls, and the vibrant red Kantu flower.Moreover, along the way, we will enjoy breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley, spot Peruvian hummingbirds, and marvel at the impressive vistas of Huchuy Qosqo. Once we arrive, we will begin by exploring the key constructions, starting with the palace of the Inca king Wiracocha. Following that, we will continue to the water temple, and, lastly, we will visit the ceremonial altars.

Following that, we will descend to the village of Villa Carmen, where we will enjoy an organic lunch at a local tourist house. During this meal, we will have the opportunity to taste guinea pig, a traditional dish from the Sacred Valley of the Incas, paired with the customary Chicha, a traditional Incan beer. Afterward, our private transport will pick us up and take us to Ollantaytambo, a city renowned as a ‘living Inca’ with its original Inca walls and cobbled streets. Once there, we will savor a delicious dinner before, ultimately, boarding our train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway town to Machu Picchu, where we will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 3: Machu Picchu Tour – back to Cusco City
On day 3, we will explore Machu Picchu, one of the 7 Wonders of the World.The Machu Picchu sanctuary opens at 6:00 am.To begin with, we will have breakfast at our hotel, after which our guide will provide an overview of the site’s visiting restrictions. Following that, we will take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu Park, where we will need both our entrance tickets and personal passports. Once we enter the Inca city, we will proceed with a 3-hour guided tour to fully experience the fascinating history and beauty of Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu Park was declared a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO.This significant archaeological park was built by the Inca ruler Pachacuti around 1450.As you explore, take time to admire the remarkable architecture, the advanced Inca hydraulic engineering, and the key sites within the archaeological center.Afterward, return from Machu Picchu and enjoy lunch at one of the excellent restaurants in the area. Furthermore, make sure to arrive at the train station 30 minutes in advance. To conclude the day, our staff will be waiting for you at the Ollantaytambo station and will assist you in returning to your hotel in Cusco.
