The 4-day, 3-night Choquequirao Hike is one of the breathtaking hikes that take you into the heart of the Peruvian Andes, surrounded by stunning landscapes and beautiful valleys.
The Choquequirao Hike is for those hikers in good physical condition, but you will not regret this challenge, once you reach the Inca city of Choquequirao you will be enchanted by its imposing Inca architecture.

Day 01: Cusco —Capuliyoc – Chikiska – Santa Rosa
Choquequirao trek will start very early, we will pick you up from your hotel in our private transport with a professional guide around 4.00 am, to start the 3-and-a-half-hour trip to Capuliyoc, the starting point of the trek. On the way, we will enjoy the wonderful Limatambo Canyon and the impressive Apu Salkantay snow-capped mountain.
Once ready, we begin our walk for approximately 4 hours to Chikiska 2,330m with a tropical jungle climate, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch with views of the Apurimac Valley, the Apurimac River. After lunch, we will descend to the Apurimac River, then cross the bridge and begin our ascent to the Santa Rosa camp where we will have dinner and spend the night where you can appreciate spectacular views.
Day 02: Santa Rosa –Marampata – Choquequirao
This day is considered exciting. After waking up at the beginning of the jungle, we will enjoy a fortifying breakfast, we will also have fruit snacks for the walk, we will start with an ascent along a path through the rainforest until we reach the peak called Marampata. From here we will be able to appreciate part of the Inca citadel Choquequirao and our walk will be less demanding because we will continue with the tour Vertically 2 hours, with some ups and downs after crossing waterfalls and passing a forest full of tropical flora and fauna, we will arrive at the Inca citadel Choquequirao.
We will explore the ruins, immersing yourself in the rich history and architectural wonders that await you on a guided tour. Then we will have a delicious lunch in Marampata We will have a sunset in a tropical landscape surrounded by mountains and the Apurimac Canyon. We will enjoy our dinner and spend the night Near the hidden gem of the Incas Choquequirao.
Day 03: Marampata – Santa Rosa – Chikiska
After our breakfast, we will be able to appreciate the sunrise. The first part of our descent will take approximately 2 hours back to Santa Rosa then we have a lunch with incredible views of the Apurimac Canyon, and then continue to our camp in Chikiska. Along the way, we will observe tropical flora, fauna, and seasonal fruits.
Day 04: Chikiska-Capuliyoc —Cusco
After a refreshing breakfast, we will leave behind the Chikiska camp, and continue with a final ascent along the exciting climb back until we reach Capuliyoc approximately 4 hours. At this point, we will have a short break to enjoy the spectacular views of the snowy Salkantay.
Then to have a delicious lunch in Capuliyoc, our car is waiting for us there, we take a bus to come back through the town of San Pedro de Cachora —Limatambo —Anta and finally to the City of Cusco. Once in Cusco, our guide will transfer you to your hotel.
