Day 1: Cusco – Thermal baths of Lares – Kiswarani 6 Waterfalls campsite.

MORNING: We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco, at 4:a.m., where we start to drive for three-hour trip through the beautiful Valleys to Lares ,Once we arrive at the town of Lares, Very famous for its medicinal hot spring.

BREAKFAST: we will have a delicious

breakfast, accompanied by tropical fruits and a view of the Lares Valley.

ACTIVITIES:Then you will enjoy the Medicinal Thermal Baths, Which are divided into several pools with different temperatures ranging from cold to hot water. All of them are made up of pure water of volcanic origin with minerals, which is considered good for bones, stress, muscles,After soaking in the medicinal pools for a while, our driver will drive 20 minutes to the Lares Trail trailhead to Starting here you will meet your porters and horses for Lares trekking area who will carry our camping equipment and food for the Lares trek , and you will deliver your canvas bags to be taken to the camp. Then we will start trekking , seeing fields of crops, Quechua Andean communities with colorful costumes, and domestic animals such as llamas, and alpacas, and we will also get to know local medicinal plants.

LUNCH: we whave a delicious lunch in Kiswarani after lunch we head to visit the 6 waterfalls and then we head to the camping site.

OVERNIGHT: we spend the night near the lake with a nice view of the mountains in kishuarani and we will have a delicious dinner.

Day 2: Kishuarani – Paso del Cóndor – Cancha Cancha Andean Community.

BREAKFAST: we have a delicious breakfast at 6:30am in the mountain then we have a organic fruit snacks.

ACTIVITIES: we start to trekk in the mountains in lares towards our second campsite. we will have spectacular views of the mountains oflares trekk , and lagoons of different shades of blue and turquoise. We will also appreciate many wild animals along the trek. We will trek uphill for four hours until reaching the highest pass in Lares called Cóndor pass where we will have spectacular views of the huge Pituitary Glacier with an Elevation of 5,700 m / 18,700 ft. The Condor Pass itself is at 4,680 m/ 15,354 feet high. Later, we will enjoy Coca leaf tea and hot chocolate.Continuing downhill, we will arrive at the community of Cancha Cancha.

LUNCH: we have a delicious lunch in cancha cancha community, The town of Cancha Cancha is located at (3,750 m). Here you will learn about the lifestyle of the locals and will see how they raise their cuy cusqueño – guinea pigs.

OVERNIGHT: we will ovenight in cancha cancha community then we have a delicious dinner In the evening you will enjoy a hot Coca drink.

Day 3: Cancha Cancha – Huarán – Maras Salt Mine – Ollantaytambo – Machu Picchu town.

BREAKFAST: early in the morning at 6:am we have a delicious breakfast then we start to walk down to the warmest area of ​​the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

ACTIVITIES: we will start to walk down to huaran community on the way we will begin to feel the climate changes. Then we will begin to see fields of different crops such as giant white corn,quinoa, peaches, apples, avocados, and other types of fruit. We will finish the Lares Trail tour in the small town of Huarán, in the Sacred Valley, Which is located at 2700 m.

LUNCH: we will have a delicious lunch in huaran community then we will say goodbye to the porters, and the chef.

AFTERNOON: after lunch From huaran community we will take a private transport to the Maras Salt Mine, where more than 3000 small evaporation chambers have been created that seem to be falling down the mountainside. This Maras salt mine has been in use since pre-Inca times.

After visiting Maras Salineras, we will board the van for 45 minutes to the city of Ollantaytambo, located in the Sacred Valley. It still has many Incan water channels, colonial houses, and Incan walls then we will have a dinner at local restaurant. then We will then take the 7 p.m. train from ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town).

TRAIN: we will take a train at 7pm from ollantaytambo to machupicchu town for 2 hours , Upon arrival at machupicchu town.

OVERNIGHT: Upon arrival at machupicchu town we will go to the hotel then we have a dinner in Machu Picchu town. Your official guide will give you recommendationsto visit Machupicchu Inca city.

Day 4: Machu Picchu Tour – Ollantaytambo – Cusco City.

BREAKFAST: First, we will have breakfast at the hotel.Afterward, we recommend you take the bus from Aguas Calientes town.

BUS TO MACHU PICCHU: Next, we will board a bus for a 35-minute ride up to the Machu Picchu entrance.

WALK UP TO MACHU PICCHU ENTRANCE: Alternatively, you may choose to walk uphill for about an hour and a half, during which you will gradually ascend towards the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Along the way, you can enjoy the stunning scenery before you reach your destination

MACHU PICCHU TOUR: Upon arrival, we will enter the Machu Picchu ruins with your tour guide, who will have your entrance tickets and personal passport. Once inside, enjoy a 2.5-hour guided tour of the site. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to admire the impressive architecture, Inca hydraulic engineering, and other significant sites within the archaeological center.

RETURN FROM MACHU PICCHU: After the tour, we will head back from Machu Picchu.

Huayna Picchu: This is the mountain that stands next to Machu Picchu. It is a 55-minute hike to the top. Going back down is quite steep if you are scared of heights. You would do this after you tour Machu Picchu. The cost is $75. Arrangements need to be made at least one month in advance due to popularity. Please understand that the weather is out of our control.

About booking and payment form

Booking a TRIP (trek or by train) requires a deposit of 50% of the total price of the trip. Please note that this deposit is mandatory to buy the train and entrance tickets to Machu Picchu, all subject to availability. After your deposit and reservation then confirmed, your outstanding balance is due when you arrive in Cusco, either 48 hours before departure or during your briefing. If you do not pay outstanding balances before departure, you cannot participate in your scheduled trip. The final acceptance of any participant is subject to the receipt and review of all the forms, documents, and payments required.

About trip itineraries

All Peruvian Culture Tours hikes are subject to itinerary changes based on a variety of circumstances, Peruvian Culture Tours reserves the right to cancel or change any trip due to river, road, weather conditions, or political climate. We also reserve the right to cancel any trip due to client unsuitability because of age, ill-health, poor fitness, intoxication, etc.

Any missed tours due to the above-listed incidences (weather conditions or political climate) cannot be refunded or recuperated.

The price and duration of a hiking trip will never change once you’re registered. Payments are not refundable for itinerary changes or public land closures. If a trip is canceled due to circumstances beyond our control, a trip credit equal to the full amount paid will be issued.

Change policy

If you wish to change the date of departure/ and or route of your trek after making the reservation/deposit, there will be a $50 per person fee to make the change, except if the change is made in the 48 hours prior to the trek, when the change will cost $100 per person.

Cancelations by cliente:

Cancelation of tour once you have received a written confirmation incurs a loss of booking deposit -Non-refundable booking deposit.

  • Cancelation of tour within 45 to 22 days before the date of tour departure incurs a loss of 70% of the total tour cost.
  • Cancelation of tour within 21 to 9 days before departure incurs a loss of 80% of total tour cost.
  • Cancelation of tour within 8 days to 48 hours before departure incurs a loss of 100% of total tour cost.
  • Peruvian Culture Tours does not take responsibility for additional costs due to unfavorable weather conditions, natural catastrophes, strikes, accidents, illness, injury, loss of personal items, etc. It is the client’s responsibility to carry insurance to cover these types of events. We reserve the right to modify or cancel the program due to any of the unforeseen conditions listed above.
