Day 1: Day 1: Cusco to Santa María – Biking & Rafting

Your Inca Jungle Adventure with Peruvian Culture Tours begins with an early morning pickup at 6:00 am from your hotel in Cusco, followed by a scenic journey through the Sacred Valley and a short coffee break near Ollantaytambo to prepare for the day ahead. We then continue ascending by private transport for approximately 50 minutes to the Abra Málaga Pass (4,316 m), where our professional guides provide full safety instructions and equipment before starting an exhilarating biking descent. This unforgettable ride takes you through dramatic Andean landscapes, from the high-altitude peaks down into the lush cloud forest, with a brief stop in Carrizales to admire the panoramic views before reaching Granadillas. After completing the biking experience, we continue by private transport to Santa María for a freshly prepared lunch. In the afternoon, you will have the option to enjoy an exciting rafting experience on the Urubamba River, navigating rapids from class I to III+, depending on seasonal conditions. Later, we continue for 35 minutes to Santa Teresa, where you will check into your accommodation and enjoy some time to relax before visiting the stunning Cocalmayo Hot Springs for a two-hour restorative swim surrounded by nature. Day 2: Zipline & Trek to Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu Town

Day 2 – Inca Jungle Adventure to Machu Picchu with Peruvian Culture Tours (Small Group Experience) begins with a delicious breakfast at 6:30 a.m., featuring fresh tropical fruits from the region. Afterward, we continue by private transport for about 35 minutes to the Hydroelectric station, where a freshly prepared lunch will be served around noon, followed by a short rest. In the afternoon, we begin a scenic 10 km hike along the railway tracks toward Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu town. This walk takes approximately three hours and offers a unique opportunity to observe the rich biodiversity of the area, as your professional guide shares insights into the local flora and fauna. Upon arrival between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m., you will check into a comfortable hotel and have time to relax. In the evening, at around 7:00 p.m., we gather for dinner at a local restaurant, where your guide will provide important information and final details for the visit to Machu Picchu the following day.

Day 3: Explore Machu Picchu Guided – back to Cusco

Day 3 – Guided Exploration of Machu Picchu with Peruvian Culture Tours (Local Travel Agency Experience) begins with an early breakfast at your hotel at 6:00 a.m., followed by a scenic 35-minute bus ride ascending through lush mountains to the entrance of Machu Picchu. As you arrive at this extraordinary Inca citadel, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, your professional guide from Peruvian Culture Tours will lead an in-depth 3-hour guided tour, bringing the site to life through engaging stories of its history, sophisticated architecture, and cultural significance. You will explore the most iconic sectors, including terraces, temples, and ceremonial spaces, while enjoying breathtaking panoramic views. Before entry, your guide will brief you on important regulations, and you must carry your passport and entrance ticket at all times. After the tour, you will descend by tourist bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time to enjoy lunch in one of the town’s inviting restaurants. In the afternoon, please arrive at the train station at least 30 minutes prior to departure for your return journey. About booking and payment form

Booking a TRIP (trek or by train) requires a deposit of 50% of the total price of the trip. Please note that this deposit is mandatory to buy the train and entrance tickets to Machu Picchu, all subject to availability. After your deposit and reservation then confirmed, your outstanding balance is due when you arrive in Cusco, either 48 hours before departure or during your briefing. If you do not pay outstanding balances before departure, you cannot participate in your scheduled trip. The final acceptance of any participant is subject to the receipt and review of all the forms, documents, and payments required.

About trip itineraries

All Peruvian Culture Tours hikes are subject to itinerary changes based on a variety of circumstances, Peruvian Culture Tours reserves the right to cancel or change any trip due to river, road, weather conditions, or political climate. We also reserve the right to cancel any trip due to client unsuitability because of age, ill health, poor fitness, intoxication, etc.

Any missed tours due to the above-listed incidences (e.g., weather conditions or political climate) cannot be refunded or recuperated.

The price and duration of a hiking trip will never change once you’re registered. Payments are not refundable for itinerary changes or public land closures. If a trip is canceled due to circumstances beyond our control, a trip credit equal to the full amount paid will be issued.

Change policy

If you wish to change the date of departure/ and or route of your trek after making the reservation/deposit, there will be a $50 per person fee to make the change, except if the change is made in the 48 hours prior to the trek, when the change will cost $100 per person.

Cancelations by cliente:

Cancelation of the tour once you have received a written confirmation incurs a loss of booking deposit -A non-refundable booking deposit.

  • Cancelation of the tour within 45 to 22 days before the date of tour departure incurs a loss of 70% of the total tour cost.
  • Cancelation of the tour within 21 to 9 days before departure incurs a loss of 80% of the total tour cost.
  • Cancelation of the tour within 8 days to 48 hours before departure incurs a loss of 100% of the total tour cost.
  • Peruvian Culture Tours is not responsible for additional costs due to unfavorable weather conditions, natural catastrophes, strikes, accidents, illness, injury, loss of personal items, etc. It is the client’s responsibility to carry insurance to cover these types of events. We reserve the right to modify or cancel the program due to any unforeseen conditions.
Medical releases

We require medical releases for prospective guests over 70 years of age and for various circumstances such as a history of cardiovascular disease, chronic illness, and other conditions and factors.

Let know to the guides if you consume any medical tab, pill, or chronic illness to prevent any accident or emergency case, if you have the first aid kit brought for the trail will be very useful for member hikers.

For your protection, we strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance. Travel insurance provides you with trip cancellation or interruption, travel delay, medical expenses, emergency assistance, and baggage delay coverage to protect your financial investment. Medical coverage purchased with your policy will also satisfy our requirement for health insurance.
